Mariko Aramaki always knew she belonged in the world of fashion. Early in her youth, Aramaki overcame her timid nature by expressing herself through the language of clothing. Since then, she has come to develop her own personal style that she describes as classic yet modern, chic yet playful, and ultimately feminine.

Aramaki grew up with the benefit of both her Japanese background and her West Coast surroundings. She projects her individuality as she participates in the worlds of art and culture that she so deeply admires. While Aramaki’s main focus is fashion, she has a rivalling passion for flamenco dance. She has garnered some attention for both her performances as a dancer in the lower mainland, as well as a designer of flamenco apparel.

Aramaki graduated in 2011 and received a Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design & Technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She has also studied Fashion History and Textiles at Université de la Mode in Lyon, France. Aramaki was further able to develop her eye for artistry during a five month internship with Vancouver-based designer Manuel Mendoza.

Her studies and experiences thus far have shaped her into an astute and well rounded designer eager to dive into a career in the fashion industry.
